Hi! I'm Sarah and I am on fire about FIRE! I found Bigger Pockets through the financial independence resources I have been devouring in the last year or so. My husband and I recently just sold our wonderful house in a great neighborhood so that we could financially downsize, accelerate our debt payoff and reach financial independence much sooner. We are currently fixing up our new house and once we are ready to move again, our new house will be put into our rental portfolio. Experience: I've always known that I would own real estate. I grew up drawing house layouts for fun (geek alert!) and looking through the flyer in the Sunday paper at the houses for sale. I bought my first house when I was 20 and have since bought two other homes. These were all owner occupied homes though and this year I will buy my first rental. Real Estate Goals: I always saw owning real estate as a way to supplement retirement but not until I encountered Bigger Pockets and the FI community did I ever consider doing it now. I will buy at least one rental this year and my goal is to replace both my husband and my W2 income within 5 years. Currently Seeking: Advice, support, mentors and opportunities!
