I work in the Dallas, TX area. I owned 1 home in Alexandria, VA that was making a profit. However, as things do, life changed and we needed to sell it to get back on our feet. We also owned a home in Cypress, TX (just north of Houston) but had to renovate and sell because of moving (barely broke even on that one). We own the home we are in now but I'm looking to add rental properties to our portfolio. All that being said, I'm trying to get back into a spot where I can begin investing in real estate again and adding to my net worth and really experience the full benefits of appreciation. Experience: Owned two homes previously (one in Alexandria, Virginia, one in Houston, TX), currently own one as our primary residence. Real Estate Goals: Own multiple residential properties to serve as extra income, eventually only source of income and then move onto commercial investments (or possible multi-family properties, such as apartment buildings).
