About myself

Executive Principal - Multi-family syndication. BIO Scott was born and raised north of Detroit. He is of Scottish descent and has one sister. Before moving to Austin to take advantage of the Texas economy he lived very comfortably in Las Vegas. Before that he lived in Seal Beach California, which he considers his true hometown. He was raised mainly by his grandparents, his parents having had issues as many parents do. His best memories are of spending summers with his grandparents in their summer home in the woods of Northern Michigan on Lake Huron boating and fishing. He has eaten so many fish that for years after moving to California he refused to eat any fish at all, but now will eat them on occasion. Scott has been married once, and is currently divorced. Refusing to speak disparagingly of his ex-wife he simply refers to her as tall and beautiful—a true statement. In the past his favorite sport was equestrian show jumping, watching not riding, but later that switched to bodybuilding. Not focusing on it very much after moving to Texas, he has begun training again after constructing a home gym in response to the COVID gym closures. Scott avoided being completely wiped out in the early 1990’s economic downturn, but watched many older friends and neighbors’ crash and burn quickly, never to recover. This experience of seeing so many fail, while others recovered their losses (over time) taught him a lot about what to do and what not to do (risk mitigation). Hence he is very careful with money. As a young man, Scott has always had a passion for Real Estate. Having befriended many much older experienced developers and investors in the Los Angeles Area. He sharpened his commercial and residential knowledge. Although after the early 1990’s economic collapse he realized large multi-family much better suited his conservative investment ideals. Later, Scott handled the financial end of the construction of over 1,000 homes, 2 golf courses, and a mall. The 70 hour a week woes of a W2 job. He often says no country club afternoons for the wage slave. Meaning he’s glad that’s in the rear view mirror. Surviving the 07 Bubble, and after moving to Texas, Scott decided to focus solely on multi-family real estate. He enjoys spending time helping others, and working out, and of course talking about Real Estate.
