I've been away from BiggerPockets for over a year. Lost motivation (but not interest) in wishing to pursue real estate investing, mainly due to never being able to find a mentor, and having very little time to invest in it. But, I'm back, hoping to meet others who can help show me how to get started. Everything I said below, still stands... I've been in the process of learning everything I can about Real Estate investing, especially over the last few years. However, fear of what I may not be doing right, as well as many little questions that could be answered by a mentor, continue to hold me back. I'm currently working for the USPS - I love this job! I want to start building my wealth, and passive income though, as this job, just like any other, will not propel me into the lifestyle that I wish to acquire. I currently don't have a lot of time to invest, or money, and I'm currently improving my credit. So I'm really interested in just wholesaling for now, and building up the capital I need to invest in fix & flips, as well as passive income in rentals. I've held various jobs such as warehousing specialist, tire retreader, dry rot repair with light construction, parts assembler, microchip fabrication, logistics supply, inventory control and cycle counting specialist, records management, HR assistant, accounts payable (A/P), accounting assistant, and office manager/coordinator, and other various jobs (basically, a jack of all trades). I also hold an Associates degree in Business Administration, and am a Marine Corps veteran. I have held various jobs, due to the lack of interest that I eventually developed, after learning all there is about a particular trade. I also don't like working for others. I want to be my own boss, and eventually have a company of my own. I want to travel and see the world. I eventually want to become a full-time real estate investor. I'm extremely motivated and dedicated to this pursuit, as I have always loved properties. I'm in search of a mentor around my local area, that can help teach me the trade and direction of how to get to where I would like to be. I see many multi-million dollar homes around here, and I'm more than ready to do what it takes, to get to the point where I can afford one of those also. However, I don't just want someone to teach me, I want to help my mentor in anyway I can, and learn by doing as well. I know nothing in this world is free. I will pay for a good mentor, and/or also help out in anyway I can. Thank you BiggerPockets, for this site!
