Signed the contract on my first Investment property in August 2019. My purpose in Investing is for retirement. After being in the workforce for 32 years (starting at 15 years old), and working for a major mortgage company that went under in 2008, taking with it 80% of my 401k, I came to realize that a 401k should complement my retirement strategy, not to be the only one. Finally convinced my wife that we could either work at Walmart in our old age, or manage our properties, to which she agreed to "try it out". Looking to build my portfolio and become financially independent through REI.
