I'm an indie film producer living in Los Angeles. I am looking for a better long term investment than the stock market which is currently where our funds are. I'm not looking for a get rich quick scheme, I just want to build a better future for my children and my family and want to have more control over the kind of future we are creating. We bought our first house in 2012 and despite it being a short sale, we had a pretty good experience and I have definitely felt a certain security and satisfaction that we've made such a tangible investment. This has opened our eyes to the potential power of REI and hopefully with the help of this community we'll be able to have some success. Currently, I've purchased two out of state SFR, in Kansas City and Indianapolis.
