Eventually, I'd love to have a diversified portfolio nationwide, with STRs, MTRs, and LTRs, as well as be able to have my own vacation homes, buy my parents a home, etc. I bought my first place 7 years ago in Flagstaff, AZ and made a huge mistake selling it 2 years later when I moved to DC. Lessons learned- I hope to never sell a place again and just keep building my portfolio from here! I have house hacked twice in the DMV area. My first house hack was a condo in DC. I rented out the second bedroom to travel nurses. My second property is a single family home with an ADU in Prince Georges County Maryland, in a DC suburb. I am working on launching the main home as an STR, the ADU as an MTR, and I will live in the basement.
