Shannon Russell

Multifamily operations leader with 20+ years in the field, from maintenance technician to Director of General Services. I currently serve as Director of Building Services on Treasure Island, CA, and as a preventative maintenance consultant for Bay Area investors and owners. I’ve spent my career running large properties on behalf of other owners: overseeing 726 residential units and 7 commercial spaces, and helping deliver a 368-unit new construction project. I know what it takes to keep big assets performing, from HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and pool/spa systems to capital planning and turning renovation scopes into real budgets and timelines. Now I’m focused on building that same kind of asset base for myself. I own in Oakland and am working toward long-term buy-and-hold multifamily ownership, applying what I’ve learned managing other people’s buildings to my own acquisitions. Through my company, Preventative Pros, I help investors protect their assets with preventative maintenance programs, vendor and repair oversight, renovation project management, and operational audits of properties they own or are evaluating. I’m here to connect with: Owners and investors who want a reliable operations partner in the Bay Area Agents, lenders, and wholesalers who work in small and mid-size multifamily Investors who want an operator at the table on future deals I’m always open to talking with investors whose capital, deal flow, or acquisition experience pairs well with my operational strengths. If you have a property that needs a second set of eyes, or a deal where you’d like an operator’s read on the real condition and costs, message me. I’ve run other people’s buildings for 20 years. Now I’m building my own, and I’d like to learn from and work with investors doing the same.
