I bought my first house in Knoxville when I was 22 years old. I grew up hearing my dad say "If you ever want to get ahead in life you have to buy a house... the sooner the better"... I never questioned his wisdom I just did it.... I've been involved in real estate for over 30 years in Knoxville ... I still own rental properties that I manage myself and I always thought that the rental income would provide nicely for my retirement ... But ... I never really planned to get old and tired before I was ready to retire... Lol ... I've always done all the work myself with subcontractors and really enjoy buying, renovating, designing and marketing my properties as single family rentals.
