My journey to Real Estate investing began in May, 2018 when I purchased my first property while on active duty in the Army. I financed it with the VA home loan. The property is a multi-family (fourplex) in Killeen TX, which I owner occupied & managed . After my seperation from the Army in January 2019 I was fairly confused as to what would be next. I took a military contracting job to Diego Garcia in October 2019 being stuck on a Naval ship with terrible wifi and connectivity gave me ample time to think about what was really import to me which was the freedom to do what I wanted and the ability to see and speak with my family constantly. Which led me to pursue Real Estate full time and I realized with enough properties and cash flow coming in I would not be required to work very much or very far. Shortly after, I took and passed the Texas Licensing exam in November 2019 and was award my license. I became an active agent the following April. My reasoning for becoming an LREA was solely for more legally understanding and having direct access to the resources and network that is available to LREA. Currently I am contracting overseas again, however this time with a plan in mind to achieve my goals! My second property is set to close in October 2020 which i'll be doing from Afghanistan, utilizing the same strategy, the VA home loan! My goal now is to have 5 positive cash flowing properties by 2023! Aside from supporting the troops and real estate, I enjoy spending time with my family, photography, martial arts, and most of all traveling!
