Steven Martel has extensive real estate sales and acquisitions experience. He has been the broker of Martels Real Estate Inc. for four years and a real estate sales representative prior to that. Martels Real Estate Inc. has been under his management for five years and it has developed into one of Ottawa, Ontario’s largest private firms. In 2008, he outsold 2,425 real estate agents in Ottawa and placed 8th in the number of homes sold out of all real estate agents and #1 Sales agent in North America under the age of 30. Mr. Martel is also associated with large real estate corporations such as the Bostonian Investment Group, which currently owns and manages over 8,000 apartments and self-storage units worth over $250 million in the United States. Martel has also participated in many acquisitions involving the EWI Group, which is owned and managed by the real estate guru and multiple best-selling author, Robert G. Allen. He also serves as a management consultant for Martel Group of Companies, LLC, which acquires 10 to 15 single-family homes per month in emerging markets in the U.S. and rents the properties to people with special needs. At Waitley Enterprises, Steven Martel is responsible for managing the research and acquisitions activities as well as Waitley’s disposition strategies. He identifies emerging markets and determines what stage of the market they are situated in at the current time of evaluation. He is also responsible for approving all potential deals that his analysts see on a daily basis. He creates strategic alliances with financial institutions, property managers, brokers, attorneys, contractors, developers, and real estate owners on a daily basis. He personally travels to view all deals that have been negotiated within the company’s strict criteria. He is also the liaison between the company and its investors.
