What I do: I work full time in the healthcare field. Why real estate: I saw value in passive income supplemented by rental properties. My parents were able to retire early because of this and I want to be able to do the same as well. What I'm hoping for: Joining bp was my first tangible step forward towards learning about real estate. I am essentially a newbie at this and listening to bp podcasts and reading the articles has greatly encouraged me to go after my dream of eventually having my own rental properties! I hope to establish working relationships among the members of bp and learn from everyone's experiences. I also aim to seek out mentors among the members, ask feedback from potential deals and baby step my way into real estate while following other leads. I realize its a lot of work and my plan is to keep myself accountable by sharing my plans with the community to keep me on track! Real estate interests: - Househacking seems appealing to me since I've been on the other end of receiving help from others who have allowed me to stay in their homes. I eventually want to be able to pay it forward and share with others what I have received. - Multifamily is also a growing interest, something about owning multiple units in one property and being able to offer privacy and convenience of an independent unit. It also broadens the scope of tenants including small families. Other interest: I also enjoy public speaking and I hope to rejoin Toastmaster club, a public speaking platform. I am interested in learning more about negotiations. There's something satisfying about learning to communicate and finding a common ground between people!
