Newb real estate investor in the DMV area. I've always been interested in real estate, but it wasn't until I took on my first renovation project at my condo that I really became interested in the rehabbing aspects of it. And now, after having tackled two major renovations with my husband, I've come to really love rehabbing and seeing the before and after transformations. It also helps that my husband works in construction with a knack for interior design, which was definitely a lifesaver during our own projects. My husband and I are also both suckers for great design and have similar modern tastes, so we enjoy designing spaces and have an appreciation for great design. In my 9-5, I work in marketing for a consulting firm. While I enjoy what I do, I've always wanted to eventually working for myself, on my own terms. I'm hoping that real estate investing will help me get there!
