I have been a real estate investor for since my first deal in 1985. I got serious about 1990. Within 3 years I was a full time investor. I went on to own over 100 single-family units. I have since invested in over 4000 apartment units. I started with bad credit and no money so I was wholesaler and flipped at first to build up capital. Then I started buying rentals which is where the real wealth is. I have been married to Josie since 1987 and have two incredible kids who are both real estate investors as well. My son had 11 houses by the time he graduated the University of Texas. For over 27 years I have been a mentor to other real estate investors.
