Steve Kontos was born and raised in New York City. He always had an interest in purchasing multi-family properties all across the United States. Steve began investing in 2008 when the markets went through the beginning stages of a down spiral. While all the market “experts” stayed quiet and fear was looming in the air, Steve saw an opportunity to purchase performing assets at an attractive discount. Since then, he along with his team have a portfolio of over 160 units spanning all across the United States! Experience: Steve has been real estate investing for well over a decade. He has been involved in development, flipping, fixer-uppers, and buy/hold apartment complexes. His portfolio began in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania where the markets were actually stagnant during the very turbulent 2008 market. Once he realized other opportunities in the area, he along with his team spent the next several years expanding their portfolio all across Pittsburgh. Today if you were to research Pittsburgh, you will see an economic boom. Once pegged as a quiet blue collar area has quickly changed to having multiple industries thriving creating a vast array of job opportunities for both white and blue collar workers. Due to the success of the Pittsburgh portfolio, the team then switched gears to other great Landlord-Friendly states; North Carolina and Tennessee. Both markets continue to show great signs of economic growth spread across several different industry sectors. Today, Steve and his team have a portfolio of over 160 units spanning all across the United States with other future projects on the table in Tennessee, Ohio, Georgia, New York, and Texas. Real Estate Goals: What started out as just 2 individuals with a dream has grown to over 12 partners who share the same goals of obtaining passive income through performing assets. This has also opened up other programs offered through our company which include an educational course, identifying and purchasing assets, and short term lending. The ultimate goal is to not only continue growth, but to also continue educating and bringing like-minded individuals together. Success means nothing without others to share it with!
