Most everyone I know who are "wealthier" did that with real estate, and it has helped me as well. I am an investor with real estate licenses in OR & WA, and mortgage loan officer in WA. I enjoy being a disrupter and coach, and enjoy helping people who want to break away from "its the way its always been done." Most of my activity is in SW Washington. I obtained my licenses to learn the business, be a better investor, build capital, and help friends and family. I have also helped other brokers, out-of-town investors, flippers, and traditional buyers and sellers. I love busting the "that's the way it's done" mantra. In May 2015, my journey really took off a few days after my divorce, with a credit card, $12k of debt and no money in my hand. I was broke. I sold my house FSBO and it sucked, and all the realtors I met really sucked. Since I knew how to talk to people and had sold lots of things over the years, I decided "Now" was the right time, so that no one else would have to go through what I went through.
