Hello, My name is Shawn West. I am a married 40yo career firefighter/paramedic. I have been in the fire service for over 22yrs and love what I do. The beauty of my profession is it allows me time for real estate investing, which is my passion outside the fire service, while also providing my family and I with secure continual income and benefits. I have been involved with real estate now for about 20yrs. I have mainly stuck with single family rentals and honed my skills in the southern to mid WI real estate market. I currently only have 9 homes which are occupied and 3 full rehabs in progress. My plans are to continue buying, renovating and renting. Most of my renovations are done in combination with myself and subcontractors. To add to the past few years I have done numerous flips which have been very successful but stressful. I prefer to buy and hold but have also been looking more into multifamily, commercial and storage units. My current roadblock has been finding good deals in this very strong housing market.
