Research scientist, university lecturer, and rental property owner and manager Experience: We own two 2 family houses, and one single family house. We live in the single family house and rent out the units in the other two buildings. Have been in the rental business since 2001. Bought my first property in 1990 (a condo while in grad school), sold in 1994 when I bought my first house. Real Estate Goals: Interested in green rental properties and promoting that concept. Looking for green-minded tenants as well as green-habbing properties to make them more energy efficient, while still remaining profitable. Currently Seeking: Always looking to learn about how to run our rental business better. Thinking about more properties some day, but lack capital at the moment.
