I am a full-time real estate investor and developer based in Denver, focused strictly on multi family, 50-100+ unit apartments in Des Moines, IA and the Denver metro and surrounding areas. I have done over 700 single-family flips since 2008 and founded The VareCo LLC in 2015. We believe this company name encompasses the true meaning of our work which is to offer solutions to specific real estate problems and opportunities that create Value for our investors and partners. The VareCo currently holds over $40M in assets under management, including 300 multi-family apartment units between our holdings in Denver, CO and Des Moines, IA. Our focus is acquiring and stabilizing distressed single family and multi family properties as long term holds. We are currently solely focused on two markets, Denver and Des Moines. As a complement to our multi-family and single family strategy, The VareCo became one of the early stage investors in Qualified Opportunity Zones, specifically in Denver, CO. In early 2018, our company was approached by a small number of institutional investors that had significant capital gains along with unrealized gains in the stock market. Through our existing relationships and current business strategy of buying distressed single and multi family properties, The VareCo was uniquely poised to help others take advantage of the newly created Opportunity Zones. By summer of 2019, we plan to have one of the first projects in the Denver Opportunity Zone fully built and stabilized with a second project underway by late 2019.
