I am currently employed as an ER nurse in the SF Bay Area. My wife (Tammy) is a Legal Asst for a worldwide law firm that has 2 offices in the Bay Area as well. We are great at our jobs, and do very well financially, but we are tired of working for others and feel we are ready to move on to full time careers in real estate. Both sets of our parents are aging and we feel that working for ourselves will lend the flexibility that we will likely need going forward and hopefully will replace our incomes as well. We have no problem putting in 60hr work weeks for our business, but being able to choose the timing on some projects will definitely benefit us.
