Real estate is more than a financial investment for me, it’s the foundation of my dream to combine my passion for hospitality with my desire to create secure, welcoming homes for others. Having worked for years in the hotel industry, I developed a "hospitality heart" and learned the art of meeting people’s needs, offering comfort, and creating spaces where people feel valued. I’m excited to bring that same approach to being a landlord, especially with short-term rentals. My journey into real estate started from a place of struggle. When I moved to Austin, I was penniless and close to losing everything. With hard work, I rebuilt my credit, gained financial independence, and started saving toward my dream of home ownership and real estate investing. The experience taught me resilience and strengthened my commitment to creating housing opportunities for others. I plan to start small, purchasing a single-family residence with an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) or a duplex. My goal is to live in the smaller unit while renting out the larger one to cover expenses and build equity. Over time, I envision growing a portfolio of houses, duplexes, and quads, where I’ll always live in one unit while renting out the others. This strategy will help me eliminate recurring expenses, secure my retirement, and provide affordable housing for families and individuals who need it. Beyond renting homes, I hope to leverage my hospitality experience to grow a property management company, managing both my own properties and those owned by others. I’m also committed to giving back to the community. I volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, which allows me to learn about home improvement while contributing to affordable housing efforts. Real estate is my way of building a stable future for myself while making a meaningful impact on others. Whether through short-term rentals or housing for low-income families, I’m passionate about creating spaces that feel like home and offering opportunities where I can give back more than I take away.
