I am currently serving in the USAF in Northwest Florida; I began real estate investing in parallel with owning my family's first home. I enjoy breathing life into distressed goods (furniture, real estate, home goods), and our first fixer-upper provided a great hands-on opportunity to exercise that passion and learn a significant amount about home ownership. My off-work time is spent with my beautiful wife, Ines, and watching our children learn about the world. Outside of that, my hobbies include golf, water sports (more so now living in FL), hunting through garage sales, traveling, and finding the best food/drink in town. Experience: My wife, Ines, and I purchased our first home in September of 2013, which turned out to be a full learning experience in fixer-uppers; between repairs, renovation, decoration, and taking care of our daughter, Amilia, we had our hands full. We loved unearthing the potential in our home! In the summer of 2016, a military move brought us to the FL panhandle area where we purchased a new build in Niceville proper. While we will have many fond memories of our first fixer, we were glad to have found a newer home that freed up some time for hobbies and traveling. In 2017, we packed it all up again and moved an hour west to Pensacola in an attempt to give our real estate investment a more serious look, and are amidst the search for our first deal. Real Estate Goals: A "side-job" investiture of time and money into "buy-and-hold" property in order to supplement/replace my W2 income, provide freedom from the 8-5, and grow mine and my wife's retirement portfolio. Currently Seeking: Education/learning opportunities and our first buy-and-hold investment property.
