Its about 3 yrs since I started my journey to real estate investing. I would say I was an accidental Real Estate Investor. I started when my friend from California asked me to show him around North Carolina (I was working as a Web Developer in the Bay Area). It was about a year living in NC already. He wanted to invest in the area since it was way cheaper compared to California specially his area. After going around with him and his real estate agent, seems like it did not work for him for long distance rental property investing after doing the number. His loss actually is my gain. The idea started to snowball and I continue his journey. It pushed my to take my real estate license that time in which I used only for investing. It was a busy 2 years after that. I house hacked, used the BRR (RR - yes i left the 2 Rs since I have not applied them and currently contemplating to do it) strategy, renovated from cleaning, painting, to building a new kitchen from scratch including installing the granite cutting them on my own. Sigh it was fun. But I think at this point I am ready for the next step. My current target is to have 10-20 units and have a monthly cashflow of 20k. But I would like to be involved in flipping or building project from time to time even if I have reached my goal. I love building designing and surpassing challenges altogether. I am looking for people to partner with to learn the building/developing part. Looking also for a mentor who has walked the path already. Currently interested around York County in South Carolina
