Tony Lago

I graduated from Cornell majoring in finance and accounting with a minor in Real Estate. I started working as an real estate analyst and then as an acquisitions associate for a couple real estate private equity funds. The last institutional fund that I worked for owns and operates real estate nationwide. During my tenure at the firm, I purchased over 40 retail and office REO assets spanning over 3 million square feet, ranging in value from $3M to $50M. After my time at the private equity fund, I worked for a start up as the head of finance and accounting. I grew the company from a team of 4 in one office to a team of over 13 people spanning 3 offices. The company also handled real estate development of which I handled the process of institutionalizing the investment process i.e. creating dynamic models and pitch deck templates. I started my own real estate investment company in June 2018. We focus on student housing and have about 40 beds under ownership. I also do some consulting work for other landlords/ appraisers.
