This is my only career change after over 20 years of working in emergency and specialty veterinary medicine in a prestigious hospital located in Washington, DC. It became apparent after commuting through these communities that real estate in this & surrounding areas are changing, expanding and being flipped and BRRR’d & I just can’t look away anymore. I realized I had to get on this real estate “train!” I decided then to make this change. Rescue Real Estate Solutions, LLC was founded in February 2019 to expand on the concept of healing and caring for dogs and cats (and their owners) to transforming the forgotten, crumbling real estate surrounding my hometown neighborhoods. After the 2 houses on either side of us were flipped in a short period of time and we got these really great new neighbors with wonderful families, we just completely understood that there was another way to give back directly to our community by creating fresh, affordable housing that would otherwise be a hazardous eye sore. My husband and I have 3 children: 2 girls and a boy and we have 3 dogs, Douglas Magoo, a pit bull, Ellie May, a pit bull/bull terrier mix and Maui Chihuahui, a short haired chihuahua. (Yes Brandon Turner, we gotta talk about your verbiage in your books about pit bulls! A dog crate, behavioral training & veterinary evaluation for anti-anxiety or sedative medications could be required of your renters to prevent damage to the house. I believe we should not discriminate people because of how they’re born so we shouldn’t do that to our furry friends either). My pups are all rescued from various situations. Adoption is the only way, as you can see I am very passionate about rehabilitating and giving a new outlook to an otherwise grim situation whether it be pet or dwelling. I really look forward to creating new, fresh living spaces for people and hope they decide to rescue pets to be life long companions and live happily ever after, together. I also look forward to establishing long lasting friendships with my fellow BP members where we can help one another to succeed and lend a hand to teach & grow. And maybe exchange pet & rehab photos!
