I started investing in real estate when I was 23 years old. I currently am a professional football player now for the Washington Football Team, but when I bought my first property I was on the Green Bay Packers. I Am from the Bay Area, California and I was living there for my off-seasons. So I was also living half of the year or more in Wisconsin paying $2000 a month in rent. I quickly realized I was basically paying double the amount it would cost to own a home in Wisconsin. So I ended up purchasing my first property in a nice suburb of Wisconsin near Green Bay, and this is where my real estate journey started. I was amazed at how easy the process was, and how many benefits there were to owning real estate (Tax benefits, appreciation, etc.). I then started researching all that I could to learn more about real estate and the ways I could invest to create passive income for myself outside of football. Fast forwarding to now, I own 7 properties, with one of them being a house hack here in Los Angeles. I am currently looking to diversify my portfolio and learn more about different realms of real estate. So for my next purchase im looking for a 3 or 4 unit multiplex here in the Los Angeles area that I could house hack. Next, I would really like to own a triple net lease property soon after. Overall, my real estate experience has changed my life, and I am happy I can finally say I found something outside of football that I love.
