BiggerPockets Money, Episode #231 Investing, budgeting, and personal finance are three of my very real passions. After becoming a certified tax professional in California, I realized even further the power of owning your own business and the wealth that real estate can generate. In 2017, my husband, Brandon, and I decided to take the leap for ourselves with our first house flip in Indiana. We temporarily relocated from California to Indiana for six weeks to complete the renovations. That was our first and only flip to date since we quickly realized that we wanted the passive income of rentals rather than relocating to complete flips. We live in Southern California and now focus on investing in long term, multi-family rentals back in the midwest where I grew up and on the East Coast. We're always looking for more long-distance rental deals, specifically in multi-family and single-family BRRRRs to grow a long term portfolio. Outside of investing, I enjoy rock climbing, helping others budget, and being outdoors. We also completely renovated a Ford Transit camper van to travel around, which turned into full-time #vanlife for a year and a half.
