I grew up in NH and have lived here most of my life. Joined BP because there is always something to learn, and people from whom to learn it. Experience: I am a 2nd generation buy and hold investor and have been at it full time since 2009. All residential, mostly SFR. Previously, I worked in commercial real estate finance doing mostly large balance development deals until the lending stopped in 2008. My company reassigned my entire team to a new product offering that was based on empty promises and very little value (similar to the guru trap with it's stepping stones of sales pitches, each with a higher price tag, but the carrot was an unsecured business line of credit and the trap was extremely expensive and relatively ineffectual "credit optimization"). After unsuccessfully attempting to steer management in a different direction and being told that I needed to set aside my moral concerns if I wanted to be successful, I resigned and moved into full-time real estate investing. The fact remains that business with integrity can be much more profitable than without, and is the only viable strategy over the long-term. Scammers come and go, but individuals and organizations who provide real value to their customers and communities are the ones who realize lasting success. Real Estate Goals: Life is a journey. I believe that a good journey has no preset destination. That said, given the current ROE on our portfolio, I've begun selling off houses and reinvesting in CRE private equity across multiple property types and locations.
