We are currently house hacking our primary residence and own one single family house. Short term goal is to BRRRR long distance, and long-term is to syndicate larger deals, potentially developing townhomes for rent but plans change. My "Why" is more time with my girls and because it's fun. By day I'm a mechanical engineer and enjoy the technical problem solving it requires. Experience: Experience has come from listening to all the BiggerPockets podcasts ( up to this point ). Personal research and self-educated in real estates many forms both here on BP, on other sites, and through some friends I consider mentors. Recently acquired first buy and hold property. Real Estate Goals: Buy and hold 15 doors, each with at least $100 positive cash flow, in 5 years. Currently Seeking: I'm on Biggerpockets to find advice from those who have experience, who have "been there and done that". Finding people that can be friends and potentially help me identify good deals and potential pitfalls. There are many unseen problems or difficulties when buying real estate investments. I would like to know what hazards could come upon me so that I have the best chance at success.
