I purchased by first investment property at the age of 25 in Augusta, GA and have held it for roughly 9 years. I have learned a lot about being a landlord, getting good tenants and managing contractors. After 15 years I still own the property as well as several others- with a cash flowing rental portfolio grossing over 6 figures a year. In addition I juggle the responsibilities of raising a 9 year old, manage a full time job and self manage my own units by utilizing systems I have implemented over the years. (Am I crazy? Yes) Fast forward to 2023, I have gotten to the point that my rental income supports my daily lifestyle. The exciting news?! I was able to leave my corporate sales job at the end of 2022 in order to pursue passions and goals that are more aligned my soul's purpose- and the 16 years of perseverance, hard work, and challenging contractors has finally paid off. I am not yet done - and I will still be on a journey of earning active income- however it will look and feel different. I will be able to work projects I want to work and with people who I positively align with. I am working on helping others through evergreen courses and private coaching. I also am working on my Salesforce Consultant certification so that I continue to play in the software space- doing what I love. As for membership at Bigger Pockets?
