Experience: I own two rental properties in Houston/Katy Texas. I've been stagnant for a few years, especially because of COVID, the market turn-down and higher interest rates. I'm also a little leery due to a bad investment partnership deal. I'm rekindling my real estate investing and interested in learning more about multi-family and "smaller" commercial apartments with 6 - 12 doors. My goal is to find opportunities for investing in a good mix of single family rentals and manageable multi-family complexes. Current niche is buy and hold. Real Estate Goals: Short term goals: starting over and taking that first step again, and finding a deal. I am thinking about joining Brandon Turner's new venture- First Deal and would appreciate hearing from anyone who has taken his challenge. I want to find a multifamily starter project and conquer the jitters that come from taking that leap of faith. My goal is to flip real estate investing from a side hustle and growing it to become a full time career/livelihood and nest-egg machine for retirement. Ultimately, I want to share and pass on what I learn and build to my family. Currently Seeking: A mentor(s), REI community, and begin building a RE investment team with agents, lenders, and general contractors to help me find deals.
