I am 50 yrs old, happily married with 3 kids and I am currently looking to invest in duplexes that have current cashflow. I have a full time job in the healthcare setting but I hope to make real estate my new job. Experience: I bought my home 13 years ago and I have paid it down that I owe less than $90K on it. I have purchased two properties(duplexes) in July using a commercial loan on one and seller-financing for the other. I have to say that acquiring those properties has made me learn a lot. Real Estate Goals: I hope to acquire 8 to 10 units in 3 years, and 16 to 20 units in 5 years. Long term goal is to get up to 200 units. Currently Seeking: I would like to meet or correspond with other investors with the same buy-and-hold goals. I am also looking for a mentor for flipping houses.
