My wife and I are both physical therapists who worked in the Augusta, GA area for 4 years. We fell in love with the town and have continued to invest there even though we have since moved to be closer to family in Braselton, GA. Experience: We purchased a primary residence in 2015 which we turned turn into a rental in 2016. In 2016 we purchased our current primary residence. In March of 2017 we purchased a rent ready duplex near our first rental. In December of 2017 we purchased a small rent ready SFR. In 2018 we got distracted by an 100+ year old 8 unit property in a city we knew nothing about. In April of 2018 we purchased a 4 unit property in our farm area. It needed a full rehab. We are still learning about rehab on parts of that property although 2 units are rentable. Real Estate Goals: As Physical Therapists we both love what we do but do not want to have to be dependent on our paycheck to pay our bills. We see real estate as a great way to use our income from our jobs to create additional income so that we can reduce our dependence on our paychecks in the event we want to reduce hours worked or something unforeseen occurs. $8000 in cash flow per month is currently the goal. We also have a goal to clear $10,000 for short term rentals during the week of the Masters. Currently Seeking: We are trying to build our relationships with our current team members. We are open to potential partnerships and deals but have most of our cash tied up in the rehab of the 4 unit property. We would eventually like to grow into midsize multifamily properties to increase efficiency with our rentals.
