Yaamu Camara

I’m Yamundow “Yamu” Camara, a multifamily real estate investor and founder of DeenVest Capital. I started investing in real estate in 2020 with about $8,000 out of pocket on my first property. Since then, I’ve built a portfolio of 156 units across multiple states, ranging from small multifamily to larger commercial assets. Today, my focus is multifamily acquisitions through DeenVest Capital, an investment fund built around an all-cash, debt-free approach. We acquire properties without traditional financing or interest and focus on creating value through strong operations, strategic improvements, and long-term ownership. Before real estate, I worked as a Data Scientist at the CDC, and that analytical background still shapes how I approach underwriting and acquisitions today. I joined BiggerPockets to connect with other investors, operators, brokers, and real estate professionals, share what I’ve learned, and continue learning from this community. Currently: Under contract on an 89-unit multifamily community in Texas.
