I’m a local investor, broker and Property Manager in Philadelphia that has been investing since 2013. My story is simple and short. I moved to the US in 2011 in order to seek out new opportunities and take my career to the next level. One of the first steps I took in order to improve my living situation was to attempt to rent an apartment in the “nicer” part of the city. However, that was not an easy endeavor. All of us, investors, do credit and background checks for potential tenants; as I was new to the country, I didn’t have a credit or criminal history. This left me with limited options to find a good rental place. That’s when I decided to search for a property to buy. I bought my first house in 2012, which is where I have been living ever since. I had no idea what I was doing when I bought my first property, but during the process I realized that there is huge potential in real estate. I’ve been investing ever since, and now, I’m a full time investor and a real estate broker and property manager. The largest component of my portfolio is comprised of 2-3 units multifamily properties. Experience: I have a Master’s degree in IT and a Bachelor’s degree in CAD/CAM Systems. I managed large-scale construction projects, one of which was to build oil pump stations for an oil line between China and Kazakhstan. I also managed a variety of projects for a telecommunication company, of which spanned from building the first 3G networks in several cities, to connecting remote locations with reliable Internet. As a real estate investor I’ve executed multiple deals, utilizing creative financing along with traditional methods in order to fund them. I have used direct marketing and taken advantage of my access to MLS in order to find deals. I also have experience with buying properties at online auctions such as Auction.com. Real Estate Goals: Currently I’m working on acquiring additional multifamily rentals in Philadelphia area, while also seeking to establish partnerships with private investors.
