Hi, Zack here. I'm a little obsessed with RE, mostly because of its characteristics as a business and what it can do for one's financial situation, but also because its multidimensional nature posses the kind of challenge I find irresistible. I'm also a bit of a nerd - got into self-improvement about 6 years ago and started devouring as much as I could find about personal finance, general philosophy and psychology and why/how our body and minds do what they do. My journey down that road's what got me a little obsessed with business, money and investing, and drove me into RE sales, aiming to better understand influence with regards to business, but let's save that discussion for when we get together for a coffee or beer... Off that I also love reading, hiking, catching a rugby game.... and i'm usually up for most things that involve learning something interesting and meeting new people. Experience: I did Web Design/Dev since graduation from campus in Dec 2016, then made the shift in August 2017 to RE sales, to get my feet wet and meet local industry pips. That foray was and continues to be a very interesting journey, because i'll be in RE until I drop dead. My play for my twenties is to develop sales & marketing skills, build a financial base and develop contacts in my industry. As a result, starting October 2018 I shifted back to my tech roots, currently doing Online Marketing. OM is the job, RE is the business. Real Estate Goals: 1. Become an expert in 5 Nairobi metro sub-markets, and the general Nairobi area, in the next 3years starting September 2017. 2. Partner on / Syndicate in RE projects in the general Nairobi area. 3. Own as much positively cash-flowing properties with good long-term prospects starting 5 years from September 2017...if the math works out right, definitely starting sooner. Currently Seeking: 1. Experienced investors to engage and work with. 2. Friends to build a mastermind group to bounce ideas off each other, and push each other to advance the growth of our RE and other investment portfolios. I'd love to engage with pips who are able to harshly criticize and lavishly praise in equal measure.
