Real estate agents should be using social media web sites to promote themselves and their listings. Where else can you reach out and touch hundreds of friends, family and colleagues within minutes? Social Media Sites! I have a personal and company profile on facebook. Social media is taking over the Internet. More people are communicating on social media web sites than using emails or the telephone. Social media is where it is at and real estate agents should be using this new marketing tool more than ever.

   That's absolutely true, Edd. The key is for agents and others to use these social media sites (like BP) appropriately. I still see way too many agents and others just spamming sites and providing little valuable content.

   The absolute best way to succeed in social media is to become a voice in the conversation. Be seen, be heard, be known.
