Austin, TX, Investors
Austin area investors I would like to add you to my contact list. Please send me your name, email, phone number, and area of interest. We are doing marketing that may turn up something you are looking for. You may find something I want or someone else I know wants. By connecting with other Austin area real estate investors I think it helps everyone and I plan on starting a meet up group to share ideas. Right now my area of focus is SFR properties and building a portfolio of rental properties. I plan to do some wholesaling, fix and flips, and other strategies along the way to pay the bills. Send me an email at [email protected].
Just bumping this back up thinking that there must be Austin area investors out there interested meeting up.
Hey James,
I'm in South Austin, and it looks like we share some of the same goals. I own a rental property, but I would consider myself a new investor, getting pointers on developing a portfolio. I'd be happy to meet for coffee sometime.

Coffee sounds great Patrick, I am working on a plan.
James & Patrick:
Your picking a tough market to do what your doing especially if your just starting out. I have some guys there that do bird dogging and are real good at it. I can see what they're up too if you like. Look in Craigslist under meet up groups, you may find a RE group there. There are much better areas than Austin to do what you're doing, San Antonio for one and it's a lot cheaper. Good luck, shoot me a message if you interested in the bird dogs.
Chuck, any help is appreciated, I will be looking forward to the bird dog contacts. I do like San Antonio but It is a little far right now. I know it won't get any closer latter but I will have more experience and contacts.
James,
There are already several meetup groups in the area. Just do a search on meetup for real estate investing and you will find several. I'm sure you will be able to get buyer's contact info. at some of those meetings.
Good Luck!
Jennifer
James,
There is networking lunch at big daddy's (183 & burnet) every Thursday @ 11:30. It's awesome!

Yes...Harold's event on Thursday is getting quite big. The last one I was able to make had probably close to 40 investors at it. Many of the folks at these meetings are read-deal investors and newbies are always welcome too.
Hi I'm a newbie to this site and am wondering if this every Thursday meeting is still going strong or if their are other current meet ups in Austin as I would like to connect and get involved.
thanks Uday! I just signed up- see you Thursday!
