Newbie from Jacksonville, fl
Greetings BP
I'm new to real estate investing but have been in the mortgage industry for over 6 years from sales to underwriting. I'm starting with wholesaling and maybe some house hacking on a duplex as i move up to where i have over 200 rental properties. I'm an avid researcher and came across BP podcast along with a few others and began my process of learning and i put my feet on the ground. Im a sponge and looking to connect with good people to learn from and grow and an investor
Hi and welcome to BP! JAX is a great place to be to launch your REI. Although I live in Oregon, I started my REI in JAX, and have several properties there.
Welcome to BP Renauld. I'm also an active investor in the Jacksonville market and it's been a great place to make money.
@Larry Fried and @Craig Barnthouse thanks for the support and encouraging words. I look forward to joining the ranks of fellow investors here in JAX and other states. But first I guess I need to start in my back yard..lol. I'm actively putting together a marketing campaign now to get things off the ground and I will definitely keep you guys in mind when I come across good deals. any tips or suggestions?
Welcome to BP and begin listening to all the podcasts and become active on the forums daily. Engage people/potential mentors as much as possible because I have gained vast amounts of knowledge from these forums through people that were willing to give their time freely and provide consistently sound advice!

Hi, im jumping in here with a question. Which site is best for looking at HUD homes? I found quite a few, thanks
Welcome to Biggerpockets. Great to have you here.
Welcome @Renauld Elder!
Browse the "Learn" tab at the top of this page and get lost in all of the knowledge that is there.
I am a strong advocate of finding a mentor that can guide you through this minefield.
You also want to be sure to have a business plan in place before you make a major move...to many people skip this step and end up worse than they did before they started.
You have a good foundation by being an expert in the mortgage industry.
Also, everyone here is very helpful in answering any questions you may have.
Much success!
Welcome to BP..
