Greetings!
Hi everybody, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.
Let me first say it's a pleasure to be here, I found this site recently upon doing some real estate investing research online. Seems like it's a terrific community of people here, and I'm looking forward to being a part of it.
A little about me; I'm completely new to real estate investing with no experience other than purchasing my own home. After a lot of time and energy I found that this is what I'd like to do with my life so that I can eventually ditch the traditional working world and have more time to do things that I would like to do. I know it won't be easy, nor will it happen overnight, but with the help of places like this I'm confident I can get it done.
I live in the Texas Hill Country near San Antonio, I've been here for almost three years now relocating from San Diego, California. I have a regular full time job right now, I'm paid decent for the work and region but I'm completely unfulfilled as I've sadly been most of my adult life with jobs. I'm very excited about entering the world of real estate investing, and I look forward to possibly networking with many of you.
Thanks and Happy Investing! :)
Jerry

Welcome Jerry,
San Diego to San Antonio-ish? Happy with the trade? For sure a better market to get started in huh?
Be sure and set up your keyword alerts. It really helps to stay connected to the topics you are interested in.
Good luck!

Thank You Brandon! More affordable market with more house for your money. We don't have the lovely San Diego weather or Baja style mexican food which I miss tremendously. Otherwise it's a great place. :)
Hi Jerry. Welcome to BP!
Hi Jerry and Welcome!
Our situations are very similar. My wife and I have little experience other than purchasing our own home and now renting it as an investment property. I, too, would like to one day "retire" from the traditional working world. We are both teachers and it gets difficult at times. I'm sure it is for everyone. That having been said, we also understand it won't be something that happens overnight. So, I've started looking at all the free advice here and posting when I can. I've watched some free webinars and I'm going to start listening to the podcasts as well. The education section has great material for newbies such as us! Good luck and welcome!
