A new study from the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) examining housing costs shows that market rents are far below ownership costs in many parts of the nation.
Not sure what to think of this "right". As someone could bank the payments untilled foreclosed upon then force then lienholder to rent to them at lower prices instead of being able to fix up the property and sell it to someone who could actually afford it!
Depending on the time involved this could allow the deadbeats to buy, get forclosed upon, then stay there for long enough that they will not be picked up on as abusers or habitual deadbeats.
