I am taking my real estate brokers exam tomorrow and I was looking for any advice about my situation as I find a sponsoring broker. I will be looking for a sponsoring broker soon but I would like one that focuses more on property management primarily, and investing as a secondary... if that exists. I know its odd to come into a new field with a niche already picked, but my family owns a property management company and a 180 unit complex that they run. I have been an ER charge RN for 8 years now and I own 3 rental units myself. I am becoming more involved with the business so I decided to get my brokers license and learn more about how other people manage larger complexes. My question is whether that special type of sponsoring broker exists and what's the best way to find them? I am flexible within Chicago and the western suburbs, I do not mind doing work that involves selling homes, that's just not my long term goal and it makes sense to bring that up initially. Any advice would be helpful as I start this search. Thanks for reading!
