Make sure to get the house blueprints before buying in Florida

Many sellers have not pulled permits when adding bathrooms or doing remodeling work.  This unpermitted construction can be caught by checking the house blueprints, which can be requested from the city building department through the city clerk.  This reminds me of the trouble it caused David Greene in podcast # 966 at minute 29 when he bought a house in Miami with unpermitted construction.  I wonder if he was able fix the problems with the city building department.
