I’m moving to Arizona and I just got my License for Real Estate in California. I need somewhere to hang my license. Any one have any thoughts on where I can hang it in Northern California?
@Anton Ziadeh As Mark said, anywhere. However, ideally with a broker that will not require you to pay any fees to hang your license (like E&O, for example). Even after you move to AZ you may get a CA referral and want to get paid on it. You are welcome to hang you license with the brokerage I'm at. There are a few agents that have left CA but still hang their CA license with our brokerage.
Congrats @Anton Ziadeh! But also bummer on the move. With eXp Realty, you can hang your license in CA, do referrals anywhere, and keep your license active while you get licensed in AZ. In fact, if for some reason you wanted to stay licensed in both states, you'd still only have the same $85/month technology/training fee and a single cap, regardless of how many states you are licensed in.
The only gotcha I can think of is that you'd have to join a local MLS in Cali. That cost would be higher initially for the initiation fees and then monthly MLS fees. So that part would be a bummer to have to pay for a local MLS to join a broker but not really get to use it.
I don't know of any brokers that DON'T make you join an MLS, but maybe someone out in BP world can suggest one?
Yeah that's my situation. I don't want to pay for the MLS but if I can hang the license and maybe pay a small fee monthly or yearly I would be willing to do that. Thank you for the information.
@Anton Ziadeh Yes, there are no fees to just hang a license. You only pay at flat fee when you close a transaction. You can find the breakdown on the site here:https://balboateam.com/join-2/ We have a handful of agent that have moved out of state and parked their CA license with us. Anyway, if interested, PM me and I will send you a contractor agreement.
