What are some strategies as a brand new agent to attack for leads?

Browse your office listings to see which houses you'd like to hold an open house and reach out to the agent. Also, ask the agent if they could refer you to any leads... even rentals (You'd be surprised how many leads top agents let go because they don't want or have the time to work... doesn't matter if they're cheap leads, just take them to get experience). Send out postcards offering a free home seller's guide. I never liked it but cold-calling does work.

Work your family and friends and do open houses to help get your name and face out there. Don't be shy about using social media to promote what you're up to as well.

@Bob Okenwa Bob what is the best way to approach family/friends? Just call see how they are doing and say hey I am an agent now?

@Michael Spindler Door knocking and Cold Calling. I find those strategies to be helpful in that it eliminates any and all fears and mental restraints about telling people you’re an agent. And it’s something to get started if you don’t have any other creative strategies. It might sound tedious but it’s good experience and practice for brand new agents. Especially if there isn’t anyone in your own sphere of influence that’s looking to buy or sell.
