Real Estate Investor looking to buy in NJ

First time home buyer and looking to purchase in NJ. I’m looking for advice in the NJ market ( location, price etc..) and possibly an experience agent who can assist.

@Jonathan Greene I think that’s where the gap is, trying to understand the market or if there is even huge opportunity in NJ. I do hear that Essex County is pretty decent and I’ve been looking at a few properties in that area. However, I’m pretty sure you might know more than I do.

@Crosby Afolabi Essex County and Northern NJ is about as hot as you can be right now. There are no deal on-market and if you are interested in this area, you would be wise to survey the market and get ready, but wait for the heat to cool off a little bit. It also depends on your price point. Under 300k is not really available in Essex County for any project at all, all-in. In Essex, the best areas for deals vs. future value right now in my opinion are West Orange and Belleville.
