My partner and I have recently rolled out a home inspection business servicing southeast Michigan. Our credentials and experience are very good but we haven't aquired many leads yet (we've been doing contractor work to fill our time in between inspections (we are licensed contractors as well)).
We've created some ads on social platforms and reached out to many realtors in our area. I will be creating some video content to use on our website and through social media.
Do any realtors out there have advice on how to generate leads for home inspections? Are there specific qualities that you look for in your home inspectors that would make them more likely to reccomend to your clients?

I would say you need to get in front of the same realtors every month for a year or two. If you can teach classes. So you're sponsoring breakfast, lunch, drinks for their office every month for 12-24 months before you can drop off to quarterly or you hand off to a marketing partner/assistant. Don't go 1 time and disappear and assume everyone in the office saw you or knows you or will use you.
Put together some checklists for agents to use with investors or regular buyers....Top 10 things we see wrong in inspections or whatever education you want them to have.
Find some agents to partner with to do first time home buyer seminars.....15 mins with the realtor, 15 mins with the inspector, 15 mins with the lender, 15 minutes for questions. Do those evenings or weekends.
You can do all these events at their offices or sometimes at educational events at the association of realtors.

Bruce, thank you for the great advice. We've been involved with several continuing education organizations over the years. It makes sense that we put together our own presentation of important information.
We may have to get creative with all of the social distancing requirements but I'm sure we can find a way to provide some value.
