Hi everyone,
I took my NY Salesperson License Exam last Wednesday and I keep checking the website and it still says "Waiting for Score". Just wondering if anyone had this as well. I'm assuming things are different now because of COVID.
I was also wondering if anyone had an opinion regarding using the online option to apply for the license versus mailing it in. Someone told me they think mailing it in is better/faster because you can include the proof of completing the course (as opposed to the Department of State looking into it themselves). I would rather the online option because it seems simpler.
Hi Nate, thank you for your response. Have you seen an average amount of time it took for new agents to get their results for the exam? And once they did receive the results, did it take a long time to get the actual license?
One you get the results that you passed you should just be able to have your broker log on and grab you which will be enough for you to start practicing. The actual paper license probably comes in a few weeks time.
I think the average time has been between 3-4 weeks from what I've seen
I just passed in January 6th and it took about a month to get my score and be able to apply for a sponsorship. Take this time to get to know all the agencies and find the right location that fits your needs. Trust me, appreciate the time and make good use of it. Even if you think you know where u want to work.
I took my real estate exam on May 28th and still have not received my results. its giving me so much anxiety because I honestly don’t know if I passed or failed. And to continue seeing Waiting for Score every day is frustrating. They told us it’ll take 3 to 4 weeks and this is going on the 6th week. It’s just a waiting game but I’m getting super impatient
@Vickie Vargas I’ve looked for numbers. People on Yelp said when you call them it automatically sends you to a automated voicemail. Its so ridiculous. it gives me anxiety thinking of the possibility of me not passing & I have to do this process all over again. 😫😫😫
@Lauren Williams I know exactly what you mean. I’m suppose to be going to interviews and I haven’t because I would like to know for a fact that I passed. Also , I can’t even imagine how long is going to take to get license after that 😭😒😒 . I check the website every two hours. 😭😭
@Vickie Vargas i check every 2 hours too! Sometimes every 30 mins. Omg I dont want to imagine how long its gonna take for the actual license 🤦🏾♀️. luckily- a company in Manhattan already hired me. Theyre the ones who convinced me to get my license. I originally applied to be an assistant. And they liked my cover letter so much- they asked if I wanted to be a real estate agent. I did the group interview without saying anything. I literally got the job based off of my cover letter.
@Lauren Williams omg that’s awesome hun !!! That’s really good , congratulations!!!!!!!. You just motivated me to start interviewing without the score . Worst case scenario I’ll have to take it again but I’ll be already working and gaining experience. Specially knowing that It takes sometime for your first sale . We got this thou 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼. @Vickie Vargas I sat for the state test in Albany on April 28th. Results posted exactly 3 weeks later on May 19th. I completely understand how you feel! What I did was register for a second exam just in case I didn't pass and kept studying throughout that 3 week period. Once the results posted that I passed (only gives you pass or fail), I was able to submit my application and apply for my license on May 20th. By the 26th I had my license # on EaccessNY and waited for the hard copy to be sent to the brokerage I'm with which took the longest. It definitely was a very looooooong 3 weeks that's for sure!! I'm sure you did just fine though, we always doubt ourselves so much unnecessarily. You've got this :)
Hey Guys, I took the same exam on May 28 in NYC too. I remember they told us results will take 3-4 weeks. I have been checking also every day and everyday I see “Waiting for score” i started to think maybe there is something wrong with my test submission or they lost my exam !!!
I have tried calling them but was not able to speak with a human
I have tried contacting them on their website via the contact us form - no answer
I have even tweeted them on the address they listed on their site also nothing…
Very worrying we need to know if we passed or not to move forward
@Nabil Mouzannar wow! I was honestly thinking something is wrong with their system also. I’m pretty sure they’re literally putting the sheet in a machine. it’s ridiculous
