My name is Richard and I'm looking to jump into my first real estate deal! Exciting stuff, I know. I was hoping to find a mortgage broker that has done deals with multi-family properties that can assist me with my first purchase. I've been looking into mainly quads in the Mesa/Tempe area. Any recommendations are truly appreciated. Thanks!
Eric Wright with Amerifirst Financial is a great choice if we are talking traditional mortgage broker. Eric has almost 20 years of Arizona Lending experience and has done a number of 4-Plex's for clients of mine.
We have also done some hard money purchases with repairs that we refinanced into traditional financing after the major repairs were completed.

Richard: I own a commercial mortgage brokerage firm. We arrange financing for commercial and multifamily real estate across the country. Quads are considered residential and not multifamily. Multifamily is 5 or more units. For residential properties, if you have a good existing relationship with your local bank or credit union is your best bet for terms in most cases.
I know a great lender i've worked with who is very quick and has been in the business for almost 24 years I believe. Gene Pastorino with Lend Smart he works out of Mesa/Queen Creek area.
I have personally refinanced my home with him. Very easy to work with and is my go to lender for all questions.

A great broker I use is Ron Kuhn at Amerifirst Financial. He doesn't do commercial loans but on a 4-plex like you're saying you can still get an FHA or conventional residential loan. He is who I use for all my properties and he went above and beyond to help me (as a real estate investor I don't have a w-2 job which is difficult).
