Where do you guys find gravel for cheap?

What method you all use to find gravel or dirt for a good price? I'm running on a lower budget than normal and looking to find something convenient. Do you always go with the closest supplier or what?

Dirt and stone is cheap . Transportation is what costs . 1/2 ton stone  $15.00 delivery fee $100

5 ton of stone $65   delivery fee  $100

Shop around, though if it is like it is around here (CT) most prices will all be very similar so generally you go with a place of convienence unless you have a certain supplier you generally deal with.  Depending how much you need also can make the price the vary, or if you want it delivered.  What is the purpose of the gravel and what size do you need?  If you just call up a supplier and ask how much for a load of gravel they will give you about 15 prices.  All things to figure out before calling.
